Two months ago I bought my first chickens,
so happy about it, been waiting for that for a while.
I always thought my rocks are girls but I'm having second thoughts lately,
first two images are the same bird.
    Thanks a lot

They look like girls to me, my Barred Rock has a pretty big comb and wattles too and I thought maybe she was a boy at first but she lays eggs :)

They also don't seem to have saddle or hackle feathers, though I'm not sure if barred rocks even have that. But their tails are also small and low and they seem to carry themselves lower. Cockerels have big upright tails and they hold themselves upright. I believe I read that Barred Rock roosters also have thinner barring, more white, while girls have the double barring. So I'm pretty sure yours are girls :)

The only way to be sure though is when they start crowing or laying eggs :p
