I have an 8 week old Plymouth Rock I got at a local feed store. They said it was 98% pullet. She has a small comb, so I didn't see a problem, but now I noticed in the last couple of days that the end of her tail has a slight bend to it. Could it be male? Has anyone had a Plymouth Rock hen with a slight bend in their tail??
    Thanks in advance Gabby [IMG]

I can, but a pic would help us determine with much better certainty. Is this a Barred Rock? If so, then the black part of the feathers will be wider than the white stripes. The females are darker than the males.

Thanks I was concern that her tail had a bend to it. I was told if it had a bend to it..... it could be a roo. I checked out your website and it's obvious you would know better than me. Nice chickens by the way. [IMG]

I agree that Esperanza is a pullet. Those long tailfeathers will molt out and suddenly, she'll look really girly, trust me.
