Which would be better, Exterior grade plywood with several coats of paint or T1-11 siding with several coats of paint? Trying to figure out what to use on my coop.

They're equal. Depends on the look you want, a smooth wall (Plywood) or the paneled look of T-111. They're are both made of exterior grade wood.

The one you can find for free on Craigslist. [IMG]

Seriously, people give away lumber and other materials all the time on Craigslist. You might find other materials, such as tin siding and roofing, that could work for you.

I got a dog house made from ext. grade plywood and it looks just fine after two Kansas winters.

I have a barn built with T1-11, it has lasted 24 years so far. I might get around to painting it one day. However bullit had the right idae, Check craigslist.org under the "free" and "farm & garden" sections. Good Luck. [IMG]
