Poisonous plant question

Hi all, first off I’m not sure what thread to put this in. But, I have holly bushes that I cut down sections of. I know the leaves and berries are toxic to chickens but what about the wood? Can I use the wood branches as a perch for them? Or is there toxins in the wood? I don’t know where the toxic stuff is in the plant but the wood seems to be really good for perches if it’s not toxic. Thank you!! I would really love your advice and help! I don’t want my ladies to get sick!

I think I would avoid it altogether. Better safe than sorry.
