So we recently picked up these two Golden Polish chickens that were siblings/hatchmates from someone who said they were getting rid of them both because they were males. They're both really young and we haven't had any crows yet. One in particular has lighter colored, shorter wattles and short tail feathers. It makes me question whether "Darles" is a "Darla" so I figured I would ask for help here.

I am posting photos of both together and you should be able to see what I mean by the difference in tail feathers and wattles (hopefully). Am I just paranoid or could one be a hen?

    THANKS SO MUCH!

Hmmm, its a little hard to say. From what I can see, the crests both look male. You can also tell from certain feathers on the back near the base of the tail that will also help you. Roosters have those "droopy" feathers that fall to the side by the tail. Does your polish have that?

Chickensandalex, your bird looks like a game bird that has been dubbed.
