Is this polish a pullet or cockerel? It’s 9 weeks old.

That’s what I was afraid of. We ‘rescued’ this one because a neighbor said their flock was picking on it and it wasn’t being accepted by their flock. I’ve had it for 3 days and it’s sleeping in the coop at night fine with my 14 6-7 week olds. It gets along ok under supervision with most of the 14 but it is very aggressive to one of the 14 that I am fairly certain is also a cockerel. I’m very fond of my original cockerel so I might have to find this one another home if it’s also a cockerel. With that much comb and wattles at this young age I am going with Cockerel. The females of this breed do not develop wattles until just before they lay eggs around five months of age.
This bird looks like a Silkie/Polish cross to me. I have some as well.

Thank you. I’m enjoying our new chicken hobby.Oh and welcome to BYC!
It is SUPER friendly with us and I was excited to have a polish in the flock. This is the one it really doesn’t do well with so far. Of our 14 I’m concerned we may already have 4 young males. This one seems to have been the boss before the Polish one arrived. So sorry!
Ours are so sweet, very friendly and nice birds.
Hopefully you can find a good home for him.
