Polish X Silkie???

  1. I already know it’s got half silkie but could (s)he have Polish in their blood? I have another just like it. These will eventually go up for sale, pm me if interested...

    I think it would have a fuller crest if it had Polish as one parent. Maybe Cochin x Silkie? The other parent could be many breeds.

    It looks a little too young to sex accurately, but as of now there are no signs of it being a cockerel.
     
  3. Um it can’t be a coochin as we bred it and we do not own coochins
     
  4. We only have silkies, Pekins and Polish in that coop

    Pekins are called Cochin bantams in the USA, and that's what I meant.

    What type of comb has this bird got? I can't see it too well. If it has a single comb then it has to be half Pekin.

  7. Nope it has a walnut (mulberry as I like to call it) comb. The same as a Silkie

    I still think the crest would be larger if it was a Polish cross, so probably Pekin bantam crossed with Silkie.
