Poop baord sand. What sand to use?

What sand do I use for a poop board. We bought some construction leveling sand but it was wet when we bought it and I dont know if it's okay for them or even how to dry sand. Any ideas?

I use Sweet PDZ. Granular form. It absorbs ammonia and has less dust.

That's what I was going to suggest based on what I've heard through BYC.

I have sweet PDZ too, and really like the results. I don't smell anything, and the poop dries out well. Easy to scoop.

Lay the sand out flat and rake it. It will dry out in a day or two. I use contractors sand and add a light layer of PDZ about every 2 wks. Never smells and it's easy to rake out with a dog pooper scooper.

thank you. I'm going to use a cat litter scooper or whatever i sued when i had the as chicks lol. Were making the coop bigger next year so for now I'm having this set up.
