She stepped in poop and then a feather or two and it is stuck on the bottom of her foot. I just found this tonight and it happened sometime in the last 24 hrs. I thought I could just get it off w/ my hand but when I tried to remove the feather it pulled and clearly was frozen. Hopefully I didn't rip the skin on the bottom of her foot. I'm afraid it will get frostbit, what should I do?

I'm thinkin soak it in some tepid water. It shouldn't take long to be able to just wipe it clean. Good luck n let us know how it works out. [IMG]

When I went out the next morning to take care of her foot it was already off[IMG]. Possibly while she was sleeping overnight it warmed up under her feathers to soften enough to come off [IMG].
