Poop Stuck To My Chicks Butt

There is poop stuck to my chicks butt, any idea how to get it off? If I leave it there, will it cause any health issues? This chick is smaller than the rest so I'm not sure if there is something wrong with it or not. All help is appreciated

Hi

It sounds like your chick has pasty butt. You will need to soak the poop off as it may cause a blockage and your chick could get bunged up with poop if it can get it out. Sometimes if the brooder is a little too warm this can cause the poop to stick. Adding some apple cider vinegar to the chicks water can also help with pasty butt.
