You can add a few drops of apple cider vinager to their water to help past butt. It may have a bit of Coccidia aswell which is treated with Corid..treat everyone in the brooded. It may just be a failure to thrive also... So sorry

I'd like to add a very humble addition to this. If you are using a galvanized metal waterer then switch to glass or plastic before adding the acv. It reacts with the metal and will poison the water. I think it's safe to add to stainless steel as well, but I'm not sure what all metals it reacts with (aluminum or tin?). I had to take a food safety class for work and there was a story about a harvest party where they serves cider in galvanized metal pails for an old fashioned affect. It was very bad, everyone got very sick very quickly.

I think what I would do first is offer the chick mash made of feed and water. Swipe some on the side of her beak. Are you sure the chick is eating or just looks like she's eating?

You can also use some small toenail-cutting-type scissors to trim the fluff off right around her vent opening. It is less painful for her when you clean her off, plus poop is less likely to build up on her hindy in the future.

So very, very sorry. You have got to be pretty sad after caring about & for the little one. [IMG] I hope you will find comfort knowing you tried, & that the chick has gone to a place that is good.
The photo of Nelly is so sweet--he/she looks like a little angel.
