poorly hen please help!!!

Hi everyone
Oky silkie was egg bound two weeks ago i got help off here she perked up then went really bad so we took her to the vet. The vet said she had inflamation and a lump on her cloca prescribed antibiotics an somethimngfor the
inflamation. That was great she perked up
althouhg still had the penquin walk of being
egg bound (but vet said she wasnt) she stopped tablets thurs fri she was fine sat her abdomen really swollen her vent seemed blocked with white matter i gave her an epsom salt bath felt in her vent (no egg) yesterday she was blocked again all swollen but still eating does anyone have any advice or is the kindest thing to do put her to sleep. I cant afford another trip to the vet (the first time cost £70) i dont want her to suffer.

Take a look at this link.it is about vent gleet which can be cured.i haven't seen your bird but you mentioned white stuff oozing from her backside and that makes me think of gleet. This link will help with treatment as well. Hope this helps. Gleet can cause swelling as well. .

Hi thanks for replying after she was egg bound we thought she had vent gleet before taking.her.to the.vets can it come back within 10 days it really does seem since the antibiotics have finished
