Possible broken wing on cockerel

My cockerel had an accident when the netting of their mobile run fell in on one side. It appears that he hit his wing on the side of the run (it's only about two feet high) and injured the joint. I can't feel any obvious broken bones, but the joint is certainly bruised and hung limp.

I went ahead and strapped it to his body with bandage wrap so he couldn't injure it further (the bandage wraps under his other wing). He was quite disgusted in the entire process.

I tried to get photos illustrating how limp it appears. I couldn't get photos of the bruising.

Are there any local vets that treat birds?

I'm in a rural enough area, so I'm sure someone dabbles in birds at the very least. And as much as I'd like confirmation from a vet, my thoughts are that, as nothing looks serious, the treatment would be what I've already done: pinning his wing to restrict movement so it can heal.

My mom has done that with a broken toe or two: just assumed it was broken and taped it to an adjacent toe because that's all a doctor could do anyway.

Update: I went to check his wing and replace the sling two days later, thinking it was slipping. His wing was stiff and swollen, but not limp like before. Ornery beast also fought so hard out of my arms he slipped out the replacement, so I let it be.

He still doesn't hold it quite right, almost a week later, and doesn't fully extend it.

Hmm, can you post some pics? Does he seem to be doing alright? You know, I have heard of this app you can get in your phone called X-ray scanner. It's supposed to be used for human bones, but I don't know if it would work for chickens or not. I have never owned the app but maybe it could show you if it was broken or not?
