Hi everyone, I have a black rock hybrid thats 3.5 years old, she has become very sluggish and struggling to get up and down from the perch unassisted. Feels really heavy and has a very fat spongy tummy area. After reading a million pages on the internet i now suspect fatty liver disease as i have been feeding my girls masses of corn not realising the dangers [IMG] is it possible to reverse this or should i expect the worse? Thanks for your input x

It probably wouldn't hurt to try to make a difference by starting your chickens on a balanced layer feed. If yoiu have any younger chickens, it may at least help them. Try to prevent them from overeating as well. Most chickens eat what they need, but some have a tendency to overeat.

Thanks for your reply, they are now only getting layers pellets (the older ones). How much corn is safe to feed?
