Hey guys! I recently got this little bantam from a friend of ours and was wondering 1. If you could confirm the breed, and 2. If you could tell if it was a roo or hen just yet. I’ve never had good luck with bantam hens so I’m kinda leaning toward roo.

You are correct that you have a beautiful little polish right there. What is the age? It is hard to tell with polish chickens as bantams are small and they have irregular combs. They come in like two little horns on the side of the head. You can tell by the crest shape as they get older and the size of there waddles, which is a better way to tell. What is the age?

I’m led to believe it’s around 5-6 weeks. The waddles are visible and red already but not hanging low. They are more kept up and really only there if you flip him upside down to check.

Your little one does have some dark pink wattles from what I can see... On the fence right now. Maybe try posting update pics in 2 weeks?

Here are some more pics of the his comb and waddles. It also acts a little like a roo, ya know squaring up to the other Roos we have and using his foot to play strike.

Yeah, that's pretty red for his age. I'm going to say cockerel on the Polish.

Your second one looks like an OEGB pullet. I am horrible at OEGB colors so let me tag someone that isn't lol! @bantamsrmyfav what color is this gal?
