I hope I have this post in the right location, if not I apologize. No emergency just seeking advice!

1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
Rir/production red, approximately 10 weeks old, unsure of weight (feels right for age/sex/no lighter than usual)

2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Nothing out of the ordinary, just noticed a scaly growth on both sides of the beak a few days ago, seems to be getting bigger(growing outwards and down but not touching wattles)

3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
I noticed the scaly areas about four days ago

4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
No

5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
No

6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
Nothing

7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
Starter feed/water

8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
Normal to runny/ its pretty hot in our area so high water intake

9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
No

10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
Theres an avian vet near by if need be

11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
Posting

12) Describe the housing/bedding in use
Medium dog kennel at night in the garage or house if its too hot, along with a 10week pullet and 5week pullet, during they day they free range near an open coop

Hi! Sorry for the long wait for a reply. How's your boy doing?

I'm not any kind of expert, but if looks like it might be an old pecking wound or possibly fowl pox. Have you looked inside his beak?

Hey there! Now it looks more like a scab thats about to fall off. And as for inside the mouth, all clear. I think youre right about an old pecking wound. Thanks for your feedback!

I'm so glad! It is frustrating when you don't get a response about something important. But you clearly took care of business!
