possum living under the coop

dogs were barking tonight and outside in the dark in the chicken run was a big possum he ran and then slipped under the coop.. could he have eaten and killed my babies this summer?I know a skunk was in the cooop he sprayed in there and I saw him recently trotting across the yard away from the coop around 1am frequently I smell the skunk out there over 15 chicks were killed out in that coop this summer

Yes, a possum could well have killed your chicks.

I could have been the skunk or the possum or both killing your chicks. I would set a live trap and get both of them out of there before you lose anymore birds.
