Post-broody or eggbound?

My BR hen went broody about 2 weeks ago. It took only a few days to break her of the habit. Recently she's began sitting in the nest again, it looks like she wants to lay. But there hasn't been an egg. Is she eggbound and how would I know? Or is it just that she's post-broody and not laying yet (it's been 1 1/2 weeks since she stopped brooding)?

Just give her time. I doubt she is eggbound. Mine had similar behavior and then suddently went into a major molt. I was worried about her for a while, but I'm guessing that she just didn't feel like expending much energy while handfuls of feathers were coming out. Once they started to grow in, her appetite picked up...but she still isn't laying.

Just watch here carefully. Is she eating and pooping? Is she still fairly active?

Yeah, she is eating and pooping and getting around normally. I will keep an eye on her. Thanks!
