I thought that too until Lisa Steele, who partnered in the creation of cookies and cream, said that they weren't mixed with silkie. I have no idea where a walnut comb came from if they aren't mixed with silkie!

Wow. That comb! What about orloffs? It might explain the walnut comb and puffy cheeks too.

Do they have 4 or 5 toes? It looks like they have a single comb and pink feet.

Mine has five toes.

I think you are right about they being mottled Houdan x Salmon Faverolles. Most of them have 5 toes and feathered legs. And they all look like a houdan with a single comb.

Houdans already have five toes, and it’s a dominant trait, so that alone doesn’t confirm faverolle heritage.

Hello Everyone!
I was able to take some photos of our Patricia today. She's really a funny bird. I love her attitude. She's definitely one of the birds on or near the top of the pecking order. She's very curious and brave. She is 6.5 weeks old in these photos. I can't wait to see her grow up!

She is looking more like a houdan.
It's hard to believe that their isn't silkie in the mix.

This is my little 14 week old Dazzle. She’s pretty small, a little shy, and very quirky. We were hoping for a little more cream mixed with our cookies, but we love her.

She is very cute!! She definitely has a lot of the Houdan characteristics!

Adorable! Mine is 15 weeks and also pretty small! They're a lot smaller than I thought they would be, which I don't mind!

I just don't see where the walnut comb would come from. I know pea x rose = walnut, but can't think of a mix that would produce the c&c. Of course there may be a few generations involved, so I guess several breeds could be used.
