The hens started laying in a compost pile and since I was worried that if one of the hens started sitting on the eggs and be killed by a predator, I put this dog kennel by the nest and transferred the eggs into it with the thought of closing the door at night with her in it. I will take most of the eggs in a few days and put them in the incubator. There are four hens laying eggs.

Guinea Hens are pretty particular about having their nests messed with, so they will most likely abandon those eggs. Glad you have an incubator, because you will probably need it for that batch of eggs. If your Hens do decide to lay in that dog crate, I'd say the Guinea Gods are definitely smiling down on you

Either way, hope you get some adorable little keets!

There were 5 eggs laid in the compost pile when I moved them over....since then, they have laid another 15 eggs in there.
