Post your new 2010 Turkeys

Hey guys and gals

I thought it might be interesting to see everyones new turkey flocks whether they are a day old or six weeks old.

I keep turkeys and chickens as pets on our 70 acre farm. I do eat their eggs.

I have adult bourbon reds that I have had for a year but I just got 3 blue slates and 2 bourbon reds (4 days old). They are sexed with 1 gobbler and 2 hens slates and 2 hens that are BB. The sexing is my secret

I also have four new chicks Golden Sex Linked hens

Enjoy the pics of my new additions to the farm. I will update my lil ones from week to week.

Here are the first two we had born this year. They are Midget Whites.

I did not take many pictures but here is one of the poults and chicks from the hatch in April.

There are White Midget turkeys, Easter Eggers, and White Leghorns in that batch.

Here's a photo of them hatching.

I've got more in the box right now that have been in there about twelve days or so no. We'll candle Tuesday night. We sold all of the April hatch already. So long as the turkeys keep laying we'll keep on hatching though we've got to work around summer vacation schedules which is messing things up.

I love showing off babies. Thanks for asking. My camera went dead half way with taken pictures. It was my grandbabies 3rd bithday yesterday. I took lots of pictures. I did get my oldest 2010 turkeys before it went dead. I will take the little babies pictures as soon as it is charged.

I'll have to post some pic's tomorrow of my own hatcherling of royal plams and burbon reds .....plus some pic's of blue slate-narragansetts - BB Bronzes & Standard Bronze and also some Chocolate Turkeys which I purchase as day olds .

Here are 3 eastern wilds that hatched out of 5 eggs at lock down. One died right after hatching and the other never pipped. At least I have three and they are now a week old.
