I met him, today.
I had left my jobsite, and was preparing to turn right, onto a 6 lane road. A young man, about 20 something, comes across the street, from a parking lot, and I thought that he was going to walk between my truck and the car, in front of me. I nodded at him, indicating that I saw him, and was giving him clearance.
He must have mistook my nod, because he walked up to the truck..My window won't open, so I opened the door, to see what he wanted.... He asked if I could take him across the street. I told him that there was no room, in the cab... It's a rolling office/tool box. He said that he'd jump in the back. I said, sorry.
He, then, went on and crossed the six lane road, dodging traffic.
I can only surmise that he thought I could make it across the street, faster than him, because the light was fixing to change, or maybe he had a phobia, about crossing 6 lane roads.
Apparently, he no concern that it would take me 5-7 minutes, to get back across the road, heading in my intended direction.
