I've got a five year old PB named Jemimah, Mimi for short.

I've also rescued quite a few PB's through the rescue that I work for

Hi there... I'm picking up two PB hogs, 7 months old on Saturday. I order feed once a month, so I have two questions: 1) how much feed will they need for the first week, and 2) how much over a month?

I have a small run with a large dog house I'll start them in until I can get a cattle panel shelter built and some additional gates put in the pasture. Any tips and advice are certainly welcome. Wasn't expecting to start hogs until spring but DW surprised me when she got a great deal on this pair. He logic was pretty sound. Practice with two before we get our breed stock in the spring.

@ 7 months I would think 40-80 pounds.

Ok, They're seven months and somewhere between 20 and 30 pounds (best guess as I haven't put them on a scale. Am I being paranoid, or are they still small enough to break out of a standard five inch wire fence?

They do look tiny. Our PB girl is about 4.5 months old now and at least that size. She would not be able to get out THROUGH 5inch woven wire but she can get out UNDER almost anything if she can lift it even a little or root her way through.
