People here are expecting radioactive fallout from the Japanese nuclear facilities. Looking at dosages for Potassium Iodide for humans and pets but can find nothing on chickens. Anyone know if we should bother to treat the chickens in the event of fallout (looking more and more likely)? Should we avoid the eggs for a while? Will the Potassium Iodide help with lessening radioactive uptake into eggs? And what kind of dosage to give birds? Hmmmm. Thanks for any info anyone my have.
