I ordered twelve chicks from McMurray Hatchery this winter, four of which were supposed to be Partridge Rock pullets. I got them on Feb. 2, and so now they are about six weeks old. I know that you are supposed to wait until they are 10 weeks, but this little guy is killing me! The comb is so large and red compared to the others, and I think I may see the appearance of saddle feathers. However, no "wet" looking feathers yet. I sexed them all as girls, but I not a sexing expert. Here's some pics. Any early thoughts?

You don't have to wait until ten weeks for partridge birds. His black breast clearly confirms his gender, if that big ol red comb wasn't enough

He's too young for saddle feathers, those come in around 12ish weeks at the earlier end.
