Could you give some idea of the size of the piece and what if any purpose it was designed for? THank you.

I believe it is used mostly for decoration. I used to hang it on the fireplace. Never occurred to me to put any liquid in it, though it has a cork. I tried briefly to fit the cork back in the piece, but it is too large. I could try a little better, but again I always used it for decoration and it was fine to leave the cork in the piece. I always imagined that i could put my "mad" money it cause no one would think to look there ! lol

at its widest point it is nearly 6 and 1/2 inches across and nearly 10 inches long at it longest points. It will not stand on its own by design... it was meant to be hung.
