Hi,

I have a new flock. A few came from everywhere. I checked my birds and all looked good. They are all about 12-15 weeks old.

I noticed the 2 Cochins had small amounts of eggs around the neck area and face. After inspecting them I seen no lice.. anywhere.
I checked all the other birds. Nothing.

I pulled out the Dusting powder and treated all of them. Says to repeat 2x in 7 days increments.
Its hard to the powder around the face.

What should or how should I handle this. This is my first ever experience with this.

Thanks So Much!!!

I would dust them again in 7-10 days. At this point, any eggs will have hatched, and you can kill the new lice. Further treatments may be neccesary, but start with this.

Be sure to clean out the coop as well and dust in the crevices. If you don't the lice will simply find the chickens again.
