I am just wondering what are the names of the poultry magazines that everyone here subscribes too?
and although not just a poultry publication
Fancy Fowl USA (currently subscribed)
Back Yard Poultry (currently subscribed)
Game Bird and Conservationists Gazette (past subscription)
Hobby Farms (past subscription)
Poultry Enthusiast (past subscription- short lived publication MarApr06-JanFeb07)
Poultry Press (past subscription)
Ditto to the Backyard Poultry and Poultry Press. I gave myself the birthday present of Practical Poultry for a year. I like it, but probably won't extend my subscription just because it's too pricey for my budget.
Sianara...do you like the Fancy Fowl one?
Yes I do like it. I've had several email conversations with the editor Terry Beebe about things I would like to see added to the magazine. He's very open to suggestions as they are quite eager to have it be as huge a success in the US as it is in the UK (and has been for many years). They have plans to expand into several other categories and I for one am excited to watch and participate in its growth
I know the subscription rate ($49 yearly) seems high but it is a MONTHLY subscription, bi-monthly. I get so excited when I get my new issues each month!
Backyard Poultry ( Okay, but not the best)
Hobby Farms (I love this magizine!)
I was in a large city this week end and found the Practical Poultry magazine at one the the bookstores.. I love the articles but hate that all the ads are from the UK! It cost 7.99 on the news stand and the subscription coupons are for UK, Europe!! I like the easy reading and short articles that leave room for lots of different decussions.
I also subscribe to Hobby Farm. It covers the whole array of animal, plant and human on the small farm...Dixie
Everybody which one do you think is the best?
