My week olds are indoors in brooded current temp reads 78. They are huddled together. The powers. Even off about an hour. I put a cardboard piece over top. It left room for air flow. Will it be okay. What else can I do. Ugh.

You can always put them in your shirt if you don't have too many.

Put in some closed containers with hot water like hot water bottles or in a soda bottle, they will huddle up to them. You will have to change the water out frequently as it cools. Do you have a fireplace or woodstove? Can you move them near the fire? Put them in a temp brooder if you have too, a plastic bin or cardboard box. We've also passed them out to the family and each person holds two or three of them, puts them under their shirt if they have too!

Put crate in an idling car, with heater on. A car with a full tank of gas can idle for almost a day.

Yeah power back on. Moving them back under lamp. This is why I want a generator.

If you put them in an idling car, I'd be nervous of carbon monoxide. Make sure you are also giving them plenty of fresh air in there.
