awoke to a freezing house, and a cool incubator. I turned on the gas logs in the fireplace and set the incubator on the hearth. I would turn it around about every 20 mins.
The temp got down to 80. A few hours later the power came back on.

I plugged in the incubator, hoped for the best, but prepared for reality.

Much to my surprise, I have had 7 out of 12 shipped eggs hatch!

Chickens are resilient and amazing creatures!

That is very cool. I'm glad you had a great hatch and for shipped eggs.
