Power went out, with a HUGE boom outside.

I think this is going to take some time for the power company to fix. No electric, no water soon without the pump and about 10 minutes left on the computer back-up battery. What a day this is starting out to be!

Think good thoughts for me.

Squirrel on a line took out a transformer. Sorry I'm not closer
I'd drop ya off a generator. Should only take a few hours to
fix.

Thank goodness I have power again already! I've had a couple of longer outages in my life and I think it made me paranoid.

That boom sure scared the poor chickens. I went outside to reassure them, but they didn't believe me that everything was OK. One of my dogs is still hiding in the basement.

Im glad you power is back on...whew! It gets HOT FAST! Poor dog...and chickens. I know my chickens would have been scared to death! My dogs....well...they would have just barked forever. They do every time the power goes out..which seems to be at LEAST twice a month. Love livin in the country...and being the last one on Duke Energys line. UGH!

Our power here in CT is really bad, especially in the richest towns.
Those people just all own expensive backup generators which
is OK cause it keeps me busy.

We're sorta country in my town but have only lost power once
in three years. The chipmunks have made a home out of my generator.
At least someone is using it.
