So, after two of my nieces gave my sisters and I makeovers last night, my teenage nephews thought it would be funny to put makeup (eyeliner or mascara I think) on my chickens combs. It scared my this morning, because I thought they had developed frostbite overnight (our weather was just cold enough to make that theoretically possible). I did try to get it off with a warm washcloth, but it didn't come off very well. I expect the answer is no, but wanted to check if there is any harm in letting it wear off naturally?

At least they didn't break out the rit dye, and make the birds purple or something.

Your birds should be fine, just wipe if off as well as you can and it will come off naturally over time. I used a sharpy marker to draw a dot on one of my hens combs to tell the difference between her. It came off naturally over about 3 days.
