    Psalm 22New American Standard Bible (NASB)
    A Cry of Anguish and a Song of Praise.

    For the choir director; upon Aijeleth Hashshahar. A Psalm of David.

    22 My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?
    Far from my deliverance are the words of my groaning.
    2 O my God, I cry by day, but You do not answer;
    And by night, but I have no rest.
    3 Yet You are holy,
    O You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel.
    4 In You our fathers trusted;
    They trusted and You delivered them.
    5 To You they cried out and were delivered;
    In You they trusted and were not disappointed.
    6 But I am a worm and not a man,
    A reproach of men and despised by the people.
    7 All who see me sneer at me;
    They separate with the lip, they wag the head, saying,
    8 “Commit yourself to the Lord; let Him deliver him;
    Let Him rescue him, because He delights in him.”
    9 Yet You are He who brought me forth from the womb;
    You made me trust when upon my mother’s breasts.
    10 Upon You I was cast from birth;
    You have been my God from my mother’s womb.
    11 Be not far from me, for trouble is near;
    For there is none to help.
    12 Many bulls have surrounded me;
    Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.
    13 They open wide their mouth at me,
    As a ravening and a roaring lion.
    14 I am poured out like water,
    And all my bones are out of joint;
    My heart is like wax;
    It is melted within me.
    15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd,
    And my tongue cleaves to my jaws;
    And You lay me in the dust of death.
    16 For dogs have surrounded me;
    A band of evildoers has encompassed me;
    They pierced my hands and my feet.
    17 I can count all my bones.
    They look, they stare at me;
    18 They divide my garments among them,
    And for my clothing they cast lots.
    19 But You, O Lord, be not far off;
    O You my help, hasten to my assistance.
    20 Deliver my soul from the sword,
    My only life from the power of the dog.
    21 Save me from the lion’s mouth;
    From the horns of the wild oxen You answer me.
    22 I will tell of Your name to my brethren;
    In the midst of the assembly I will praise You.
    23 You who fear the Lord, praise Him;
    All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him,
    And stand in awe of Him, all you descendants of Israel.
    24 For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;
    Nor has He hidden His face from him;
    But when he cried to Him for help, He heard.
    25 From You comes my praise in the great assembly;
    I shall pay my vows before those who fear Him.
    26 The afflicted will eat and be satisfied;
    Those who seek Him will praise the Lord.
    Let your heart live forever!
    27 All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord,
    And all the families of the nations will worship before You.
    28 For the kingdom is the Lord’s
    And He rules over the nations.
    29 All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship,
    All those who go down to the dust will bow before Him,
    Even he who cannot keep his soul alive.
    30 Posterity will serve Him;
    It will be told of the Lord to the coming generation.
    31 They will come and will declare His righteousness
    To a people who will be born, that He has performed it.

    @PeepersMama I will certainly pray for your cousin!

    But to ease your mind a little.... We will be surprised who we do and don't see in Heaven! Some of the people who seem like saints to us, when they say "Lord Lord look at all we've done in your name" will be told "Go away, I never knew you!".....

    And there are some people who I know believe in Jesus as their savior but are just not able to overcome their inherent sinful nature even though they want to....

    It says, "whoever believes on Jesus will have everlasting life." Am I to believe the weak are going to hell? Maybe, I don't know. But I don't think so, to a degree they are like the young children still pooing in their pants even though they know how to use the toilet. They may have been distracted (by the world) playing and they didn't mean to. But God knows in their heart they wanted to make it to the toilet. In this example God is the toilet. [IMG] No disrespect, just an analogy!

    Are there any functions you can invite her to where she won't feel uncomfortable? I love heavy metal music! Christian concerts of all genres abound... rap, gospel, metal, pop... You get the idea. A place where she can see that others with her same interest love the Lord but are still able to have a good time. Imagine the guys and gals with chains all over their clothes and bright green mohawks head banging to some worship! It's a beautiful sight. [IMG] Missions trips are always very cool and enlightening as well, maybe she could join you if you plan ahead!? Summer and winter camp was always fun as well. You get to do activities and it's drawn back to God. A way for people to see that it's OK to have fun you don't have to be sitting in a pew with a tie on and your hands folded on your lap. You can praise God from your surf board in the cathedral of waves! We are in God's house everywhere. [IMG]

    I pray my Father in Heaven that Tor's heart be fertile ground for the seeds being planted. That she might be raised up and brought into the store house at harvest, let the weeds not choke her out Lord. And make your warm embrace draw her in and reveal your calling in her life, In Jesus Name! [IMG] (almost prayer hands, but God knows!)

    I cry at happy things to, sometimes. I'm not actually a big crying type person but there seem to be days where good or bad it all equals tears. I figure the endorphines released while crying help to stay in balance in my brain some how. [IMG] So don't be scared off or worried, @Flock Master64 . [IMG]

    So i was staying up really late last night watching one of the last episodes of Dragon Ball. And I was really tired when I went to bed last night and I forgot to pray for Ocaps rib bone to heal quickly. ( I think that was it ) So I clapped my hands together and prayed really quick in my head. I feel kinda lazy that I didn't even bother to sit up or talk out loud.

    I am thankful that our children are responsible for their own paths. We as parents can do our best. I know that many times, my best was less than stellar. I know that I provided the same parenting to 2 very different children, they each chose their own path. I will not take the credit for the good choices my children have made, and I will not take the blame for the bad choices my children have made. I will praise God for taking my pathetic best, and using it, and working in both of my children's lives to bring them into fellowship with Him. Sometimes, the wait to see our children step into His will is long, painful, and difficult. But, the praise and glory belong to Him.

    Praying that Tor will be surrounded by His people, and that she will see her need.

    Some of my best prayer time is when I'm driving. Is it ok to pray with eyes open? I certainly hope so. We are told to pray without ceasing. It doesn't matter whether you are praying out loud, or silently, or what position your body is in.
