Arizona has passed a Birth Certificate Bill
I like the photo.
I still don't buy into the whole "Birther" thing yet, but I gotta say, watching the back-and-forth is extremely entertaining.
Also: I LOVE the photo, but sadly, I believe that it was photoshopped.
nope. it's a real picture. the only thing photoshopped around here is that birth certificate (ouch!)
I think that whole birther thing is just plain silly. But what fascinates me is why that Arizona sheriff thinks he can determine whether Obama's, or for that matter, anyone's, birth certificate is legit or not. What qualifications does he have as a forensic document examiner? I remember some years ago a man attending a seminar in an FBI building walked into a room that was supposed to be locked but wasn't. He was only trying to take a picture of the city from the high rise window. Some FBI agents saw that the door was ajar, walked in to investigate, and found the fella with the camera. They were just sure, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he was up to some nefarious purpose or other. They made him empty his pockets and show his ID. Now this man was employed in the White House in some capacity or other and had the credentials to prove it. The FBI wasn't buying it. They were SURE that the credentials were fake. After all, they were real FBI agents and they could tell just by looking that the credentials were not only fake, but not very good fakes at that. In an effort to determine if the man was really who he said he was (or rather proove that he wasn't) they called his supposed boss in the White House. Boss was to ask him some questions that only he would know the answer to. By this time, after being grilled for what seemed hours, he was so rattled he could not have told you what his own name was, let alone anything else. So of, course he couldn't answer the questions. Eventually, the whole mess was straightened out and our hero, by this time a nervous wreck, was free to go on his way. The point is this. If the FBI could not determine just by looking if the credentials were fake or not, what makes the sheriff think he can? And why does anyone care what he thinks anyway?
you are missing the point. the bill does not say that his birth certificate is fake. the bill requires that all candidates sign an affidavit -under penalty of perjury.
IF and only IF it turns out the candidate lied -under penalty of perjury - then he will face the consequences; most likely prison.
also, IF sheriff joe does indeed have evidence at hand that proves the birth certificate is a forgery, you will not hear about it until AFTER the affidavit is signed
therefore, I believe both Democrats and Republicans will bend over backwards to have this bill killed.
I think it is fishy myself and i will leave it at that
Great Photo BTW
This kind of thing really shows the sad state of affairs politics are in. Useless pieces of legislation that are designed to appease the below average intelligence voter. Like that bill in Tennessee banning Sharia law. Because Sharia law is such a prevalent problem in Tennessee. Now you got this bill which is a direct shot at our president(I don't care what they say). I'd rather our lawmakers spend their time and our money just a little bit more wisely.
About the birther thing.. It didn't work in 2008 and it isn't working today. Hanging onto it really only projects desperation.
I wasn't referring to the bill per se. The SHERIFF thinks the birth certificate is fake. Or at least he said he does. On several occasions. But methinks he is simply trying to divert attention from his own problems. As in the best defense is a strong offense. As for the authenticity of the birth certificate, the sheriff has no way to determine it one way or the other. He just doesn't.
therefore, if logic prevails, the president should have no problem in signing the affidavit and finally silencing all of the "below average intelligence voters"
he should be jumping at this opportunity with glee at the first chance he gets
I reitterate my statement: both democrats and republicans will bend over backwards to kill this bill
I bet my chickens on it
