Prints in the snow

    looks like bob cat or cougar?

    Terrible at prints, but my uneducated guess would be coyote/wolf or some sort of big cat... or fisher cat, what do those prints look like?

    It is so strange. We are in upstate NY and nothing like that around. These are right outside our back door!!

    If there are no claw marks showing (and I don't see any in the picture), then I'd guess big cat also; bobcat or cougar.

    WOW - it sure does look like a cougar. I've heard of bear around here, but not big cats! Thank you all.

    DH saw one on the way home one night a couple of months ago. I may have seen one shortly after on the same road but I didn't get a good glimpse of it. This was on Old Pre-Emption Road near the Ontario Co/Wayne Co line (NY). So, umm, yeah, I guess we have them but if you ask the DEC, we don't.
