We have a batch of chicks that are about 4 weeks old and I've noticed that some of them have little bumps on their legs where spurs would develop on roos. Is this a way to sex them? Or do some pullets have them too?

Ohhhh if it were so easy that way!

But, alas, pullets and roos have them.

Pullets have them, too. Sorry! Heck, I even have one hen with spurs like pencil erasers, so hens get spurs, too, sometimes.

But on the other hand, since more of them had them than not, it's good news that they're not all roos!
