Process?

What is the avg. cost to have bird processed if you can find a place that will process your birds?

I don't know about average, I remember someone posting they paid $2.50 a bird.

So ya'll think when we get a store bought, about half of what we pay for a fryer is for the processing and the other half is for the chick, raising, and feed? Well the processing takes me longer than I would like, but I've been doing it with my extra roosters because I want larger profits on my chicken project.

Its possible, although when processing millions of chickens, it doesn't cost that much. Just like getting a deer processed costs much more that processing on commercial beef. I process my extra roosters because I have lost money before the ax even begins to fall.
