Processing quail sized chickens?

I had a chick order fall through now I'm stuck with 6 chicks in the house (I love them, of course) but it got me thinking...

Quail/chicken keepers-- ever thought about this?

Processing chicken chicks that are quail sized...

Why don't we do this?

I think its because they're far too skinny. At that age, theyre growing up, not out

It's true but they probably have as much meat on them or near to as my adult quail...And people do process quail...

Yeah, but when people process quail, the bird is finished growing up and has started to grow out.

Cornish game hens are pretty plump, those are just young chickens.

Because they're just isn't enough meat on them.

I don't have chickens, so I wouldn't know... I think @JacinLarkwell is right, though. They're too young to have filled out with enough meat.

Cornish game hens are female Cornishx butchered younger than other Cornish cross. Cornish bantams are a small meat breed. Different breeds
