    how much feed will one chicken consume in one day? For a school project.

    That depends on the breed of chicken.

    It will also depend on weather, age, physical activity and if they free range... My flock of free ranged 30 or so mixed age heavy breed birds go though about 50 lbs a week... but depending on weather and other goodies, can be as low as 25 a week and as high as 75.

    one RIR chicken will eat .358076 lbs of feed per day. at least this is the formalar I have used for years. in cold feather they will eat more.
