Should I take him to the vet? I'm worried!
If u don't mind me asking what that is I'm new to ducks and I've never heard of that.
I'm pretty new to this too but from what I am gathering it is a infection in the ducks penis
Omg!! Thats not good!! If ur sure its an infection I would definitely start antibiotics. I'm dealing with one of my ducks that has bumblefoot and that is like staff infection in ducks!! And my little girls feet and legs both are infected and I had her on Terra vet antibiotic in her water. So maybe if u got antibiotics for him it might clear up the infection and could heal on his own. But I would call some vets and get some tips on how serious that could be and what it might take to deal with it.
Will do! Hope your duck gets better soon!
I have been away from the computer most of the day . . . yes, if you can get him to a good duck vet, or a good vet willing to work with ducks, I would. Word of caution - at this point, if the vet suggests putting the drake down, please just walk away. Drakes recover from prolapsed phallus so many times that I would not be too quick to give up.
