Hello All,

Here on the hacienda, we are gradually phasing out our LF roosters due to overmating and bullying of the hens.

However, this spring we got an assortment of bantams (75% roosters of course), and we are in love with our little gentlemen. We currently have three free-ranging bantam roosters of various breeds (Serama/OEG/?) who are an absolute delight to be around. They stay out from underfoot, but aren't fearful, or flighty and they stand guard over the LF hens with out harassing them or doing them any damage.

They also make the most adorable little crows you've ever heard!

My question is with a group of 52 LF hens, should we be able to keep two of our LF roosters ( the gentlemanly Buck Jr. and our dashing Sterling) and our three bantam roosters (Tweedle Dee, Sanchito, and Checkers) without any damage to our hens?
