Properly dressed hen

    We ended up getting our hen an old dog jacket and cut in some wing holes. Success[​IMG] no more horrible wounds!
    Hopefully her husband, a golden heritage and her have babies. I will post pics when we get babies. I already put 4 eggs under chickens who have gone broody. They hatched ducks before so we will see. Now a little question. Does he need to mate with her every day to keep getting fertile eggs?[​IMG]

    No they don't need to mate daily but if housed together they likely will. Just my own personal opinion but the dog jacket looks to be a little to much for a turkey, having much more coverage and weight to it then say a saddle specifically made for a turkey. But I may be wrong since Ive never tried either before. I hope you have poults soon.

    A heritage golden tom x broad breasted white. His/her name is cranberry sauce, It was the toms name.
