pros and cons of using concrete or cinder blocks in construction of coop

Hi. I am currently designing a new chicken/duck coop. I have decided on concrete a floor. But I was thinking of maybe having the walls of concrete blocks at the bottom 2 feet of the walls to help with cleaning duck poo off of walls. Is this a good idea? I know it would be easier to clean, but I'm worried about it being cold/ insulation problems. The rest of the wall would be made of wood, just bottom part cinder or concrete blocks. I am located in southeast Va, hot summers and recently very cold winters. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You could coat the concrete in a product called blackjack 57, it will seal and waterproof it and you can clean it easily. it might even offer a little insulation against cold concrete. It's usually not recommended to house ducks and chickens together since ducks create a lot of moisture.
