Hi,
I might just be being a worry wart, but I received my first ever chicks today and one has a dry, protruding navel. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to help her along?

Thanks

Leave it alone and it should heal up. If it looks like it might be getting a infection you might consider a antibiotic cream (without pain killer) and possibly a antibiotic added to water. After treatment give probotics to restore beneficial bacteria into her system.
