I just bought 3 Black Cochin chicks that are about 10- 12 weeks old. I didn't think I was going to get chickens this soon. As in, I was not ready for them. And I was planning on getting a breed that was a better egg producer. But when I saw them, and met their mom and dad, I couldn't resist They are happy in a big box right now, but I need to get something bigger for then really soon. I have been scrounging free building materials, and should have enough to set them up just fine. I will be getting other breeds later this spring, but for right now, I am proud pappa to 3 little ones. The lady I got them from said she thought they were all girls, but you cant really tell. Anyway, I am happy to finally have some chickens again. I paid 5 bucks each, I don't think that was too much. Was it?

I don't think it is the computer. It is the cheap $30 camera.

Congratulations on your new feathered babies. Cochins are really neat, they are my favorite breed so far. So sweet, and gentle.

Congratulations! Cochins are a very nice breed. Easy-going, friendly, and cute as can be! Have fun with them! [IMG]
