Well, weened my BR chicken off the the heat lamp during the day and then two days ago, I removed it at night.
The first night they looked kind of sad, with one of them just standing in the corner going "peep peep" in the saddest sort of way. The next night though, I'm trying to spot them through the pop door and couldn't find them. So I opened the cleaning door and there they were right on their roost like they were supposed to be. Their second night in the dark (except for a single LED light), and they took to it like the good little chickies that they are. I'm proud of them!
