Pullet or cockeral olive egger

I have an olive egger I've been watching and watching and I still just cannot tell. It's an ugly chicken with weird wing feathers, most times the face is a light pink but darkens to red when excited or upset or tired of being stared at.
The chicken is about 5 months old, and I feel like it should be more obvious by now. The tail feathers we're extremely slow to come in and are still heavily burdened with blood feathers. I have been cursed with roos this year, I got this one as a grow out with another who were looking promising as pullets. The other one started crowing 2 weeks ago and has since been relocated to a big farm in acerage. This one has not crowed. Any insight is appreciated

Cockerel.
They usually take longer to grow out their tail feathers. Yours has already started growing his pointed saddle feathers.
When did you rehome the cockerel that was crowing? One cockerel crowing can keep a beta cockerel from making a sound. As soon as I rehomed my alpha cockerel my beta started crowing.

I was just looking closer at the feathers and they are pointy. And I'm disappointy. I seriously can't win.
