I thought I have a Blue AM pullet, but wondering now.

Can anyone tell from these pics?

I also posted in the Ameraucana thread.

    The jury says cockerel.

Now he needs a new name.

I have some more pics on the Ameraucana thread.

I was really hoping for a girl too.

I had thought i saw saddle feathers, but think I was just panicking when I first noticed some changes. I don't see those yet and my black roo is only a month older and has had them since I got him. I think I've had him like 2 months now.

What really made me notice was I had the two penned next to eachother and had let them out to meet finally. The feathers really flew and I gaved the blue and then noticed she/he had looked a lot different 2 days before.

    Maybe She's butch! LOL

I have one that is the exact same color. Everyone said it was a boy until about 12 weeks old. I still say girl, but they can be difficult sometimes! [IMG]

If those pics are current and your chicken is 6 months old, then she is definitely a pullet. Small comb and rounded feathers. A 6 month old cockerel would have obviously pointed saddle and hackle feathers and the comb looks really small in that 3rd pic. The coloring does look off for a pure Blue Ameraucana, but the signs point to a definite female.
