Pullet or Cockerel?

[Sneaky Chicken]

This is my first year with chickens and so far, Im LOVING it. I recently discovered that my problem child (a Barred Rock) is a cockerel, meaning I will have to rehome him because I cant keep a rooster where I live. I have another Barred Rock from that I got from the same person who is my sweetest chicken I have but has the same feather coloring and tail feathers as its cockerel brother and the comb is similar in size but the color is much lighter and the waddles arent as large. I need help in identifying whether or not this chick is a male or female. I would hate to have to rehome her (or maybe him) but I will do what I have to. =( They are both about 8-9 weeks old. He's actually not a barred rock, not with that comb. He's a dominique. My guess on gender would be male with that light barring.

I guess Ill have to do some reading on Dominiques then.. they must be smaller than Barred Rock bc I had to trade my other BR for them (it was a male and female that were bonded so I couldnt separate them) and they were a lot bigger at half the age. I thought I had just gotten some runts.

Agree that's a Dominique cockerel.

Dominiques are supposed to be lighter bodied and smaller than Rocks. Sadly, with hatchery birds the difference isn't that apparent in body shape and size, the main difference is the comb style.

These are all easter egger cockerels aside from the last one who is a cochin cockerel. So, all boys
