I've recently acquired an Easter Egger with a few other chicks. They were all supposed to be sexed pullets when we got them. This one, Independence, was a few weeks old already when she got to my house. We started calling her Teresasaurus Rex, because she was so big and gangly.

Right now, I'd guess "she" is about 10-11 weeks old. As of Sunday, I've noticed a weird sound coming from the little girls' coop... Yesterday, I realized it was potentially a rooster crow.... Coming from Independence.

I've talked to some locals and a few are still convinced she's just hencrowing. I'm starting to lean towards... She is actually Tomosaurus Rex.. Not a Teresa.

Thanks! I have been saying for the last few weeks that he's a ROO! His legs are thick and those tail feathers are turning green.. and now... The morning crowing.

Thanks everyone! I found the fella a new home a few days ago. He's slowly adjusting to his new home. I wish I could have kept him though. He was handsome!
